Message Your Crew and Clients: Start Here

Modified on Sun, 27 Sep at 12:56 AM

One message to the right people beats twenty phone calls. NextCrew gives you two ways to reach people, and each one fits a different job.

Summary

Messages send one message to many people at once, by email, text (SMS) or app notification. Each person gets their own copy, with their own name in it. Channels are group conversations, where everyone on a job or team can talk and reply in one place. Texting needs to be set up for your agency first.

Learn it in this order

  1. Send a message to Crew, clients or your team. The one to learn first.
  2. Create and share message templates. Stop retyping the messages you send every week.
  3. Schedule a message to send later. Write it now, send it when it's needed.
  4. Find messages in your Inbox and Sent. Including sharing an inbox with your team.
  5. Channels: create a group conversation for a job or a team. For back-and-forth, not announcements.

Start with the first guide. The rest build on it.

Other places you can message from

  • A Crew Member's record: click Add Message at the top.
  • Daily Pulse: message everyone who is late or hasn't clocked in.

Texting (SMS)

Texts are sent through Twilio, so your agency needs a Twilio account connected before you can text. See Integrate Twilio SMS with NextCrew. Until then, choose email or app notification.

What your Crew see

Crew Members can message you from the app too. See Message your agency, the guide your Crew read.
