How to Change Assignment Dates for a Single Person

Modified on Sun, 28 Dec at 6:22 PM

Overview

Changing assignment dates for a single worker lets you adjust when that specific person starts or ends on a job without affecting anyone else. This is useful when one worker starts early, finishes late, or leaves the assignment sooner than the rest of the team.

Navigation

  • Go to your Jobs/Orders list.

  • Open the job details for the job where the worker is assigned.

  • Find the Assigned Workers or Assignments section.

  • Open the specific worker’s assignment/offer details.

Key Features

  • Update start and end dates for one worker without changing the dates for other workers on the same job.

  • Support early starts, extended end dates, and early end dates for specific workers.

  • Keep a clean record of each worker’s actual active dates on the job.

Use case: One worker stays longer than the rest

Goal: Extend the end date for one person on a job while other workers finish on the original end date.

Steps:

  1. Open the job

    • From the Jobs/Orders list, locate the job and open the job details page.

  2. Open that worker’s assignment details

    • In the Assigned Workers list, find the worker and open their assignment or offer details.

  3. Edit start and end dates

    • Update the Start Date and End Date fields for that worker.

    • Save your changes. The dates for other workers on the job remain unchanged.

FAQ

  • Does this change affect other workers on the job?
No. Only the selected worker’s assignment dates are updated.

  • Will this change impact the worker’s other jobs?
No. It only applies to this specific job’s assignment dates, not to any other assignments they may have.

  • Can I change only the start or only the end date?
Yes. You can adjust either or both fields, as long as the dates follow your system’s validation rules.

Pro-Tip

Use individual assignment date changes instead of editing the job’s main dates when only one person’s schedule is different, so you do not accidentally shift the entire team’s assignments.
