Reports, Dashboards and Analytics: See Your Business at a Glance

Modified on Sat, 3 Oct at 2:49 PM

Every number you need is already in NextCrew, because the work happens there. Reports and dashboards turn it into answers, without anyone building a spreadsheet.

Summary

Every standard report is on one screen, Reports, grouped into sections. Star the ones you use. Your Home screen and each area's Overview are dashboards you build from widgets. Daily Pulse shows today, live. The reports read the same data your team works in, so the numbers match what's on screen. What goes wrong: sending someone a report link. Links carry your company's own web address, so name the report instead.

Set it up once

  1. Choose Reports, and star the ones you use so they sit under Favorites.
  2. On Home, click ADD and add widgets for the numbers you check every day.
  3. Add the recruiting widgets to HR Overview. See Track Your Recruiting Pipeline.
  4. Use Daily Pulse for today. See See Today's Timesheets with Daily Pulse.
  5. Need a report that doesn't exist? Ask support, and say what decision it helps you make.

That's your numbers waiting when you sign in. Read on for what's in each place.

Dashboards you build yourself

Your Home screen is a dashboard. Click ADD, pick a widget, set its time period and use its filters, such as office location. Some widgets worth adding:

  • Daily Pulse: today's Crew, their jobs and who is on site.
  • Fill Ratio Trend: jobs filled compared with jobs ordered.
  • Clock-In/Out Trend: how many were early, on time or late.
  • HR Statuses, Time to Hire and Referral Sources: where candidates are and where they come from.
  • Birthday List and 1st Day on the Job: who to reach out to today.

You can't create a new kind of widget. For a number no widget shows, use a report.

Questions people ask

Can I get a custom report?

Most requests are for an existing report with different columns, and NextCrew builds those for you. Raise a request with support. A custom report may carry a cost.

How do I point a colleague to a report?

Give them its section and name, such as Reports › Workforce Operation & Stats › No-Show Report. Links don't work across accounts.

Can clients see dashboards?

Yes. Client users build their own Home dashboard, with the data you share with them.
