Every call to book a job, check a time or ask “is anyone there yet?” is a call self-service can answer. NextCrew gives your Crew an app and your clients a portal.
Summary
Crew use the NextCrew app to apply, finish their hiring documents, keep their profile current, take jobs, clock in and out, and check their hours. Clients use the portal to order staff, see who's confirmed and who's on site, approve timesheets and see invoices. You decide what each client user can see and do. What goes wrong: only one person at a client has a login, so orders come back by email the week they're away.
Set it up once
- Ask each Crew Member to download the app, sign in, and complete their profile and availability.
- Turn on texting, so reminders reach their phones. See Turn On Text Messaging with Twilio.
- Give a portal login to each client contact who orders or approves hours. See Give Clients Access to the Client Portal.
- Send each new client user Welcome to NextCrew: Your Quick Start as a Client.
- Walk the client through one real order and one real timesheet. See Orient New Clients to Use NextCrew.
That's self-service switched on for both sides. Read on for what each side can do.

|---|---|
| Order staff any time of day | Take orders by phone and email, and type them in |
| See who's confirmed for each job | Send confirmation lists |

| Approve or decline timesheets | Chase approvals by email |
| See their invoices, if you share them | Resend invoices on request |
The portal works in any web browser, so there's nothing for the client to install.
A client's approval marks a timesheet Client Approved. Your team still gives the final approval before payroll and invoicing.
You stay in control
- You decide what each client user can see and do, such as invoices or bill rates.
- You decide which jobs Crew hear about, with each job's privacy setting.
- Crew can't see your notes on their record.
