Every screen in NextCrew works the same way. Learn these tools once and you can use them on Crew, clients, jobs, timesheets and invoices.
Summary
Most of your day happens in lists: Crew Members, Orders, Timesheets, Clients. Each list has the same search, filter, columns, saved views and export. Three more tools keep your team in step. Tasks track follow-ups. Notes keep what was said and agreed. Tags group records your own way.
Learn it in this order
- Search, filter and sort any list. The fastest way to find anything.
- Save and share your own list views. Set up a list once, then open it in one click.
- Export a list to Excel. When someone needs the data outside NextCrew.
- Create and track tasks. Nothing gets forgotten, and everyone can see who owns what.
- Add notes to a record. Keep the full story on the record, not in someone's inbox.
- Tag records so you can find them later. Your own labels, on top of what NextCrew tracks.
- Pin your most-used screens to Favorites. Two minutes that save clicks all day.
Work through the list once, in order. After that, come back to a single guide when you need it.

One idea you will see everywhere: templates
Views, note templates and message templates all work the same way. You set something up, choose Save As Template, give it a name, and tick Shared if your team should have it too.
So once you have saved a view, you already know how to save a note template or a message template.
The panel on the right of the screen
The icons down the right edge open a side panel without leaving the page you are on. What you see depends on the screen. On a Crew Member's record, for example, you can:
- Ask CrewPilot AI a question.
- See the Tasks linked to this person, and tick them off.
- Add a task that is already linked to this person.
- Open the Channels linked to this person.
- See the Feed of changes made to the record.
