Some things you want to know about a Crew Member don't have a field. Bilingual, happy to drive, great with new clients. Tags let you record them, and then find everyone who has them.
Summary
A tag is a short label you add to a record: a Crew Member, a client or a job. You can pick an existing tag or create a new one as you type. Tags then work as a filter: on lists, and when you choose who to send a message to.
How to do it
- Open the Crew Member's record and go to the Overview tab.
- In the Tags section, click Add.
- Pick a tag from the list, or type a new one in Choose or Create.
- Click the check mark to add it.
- To remove a tag, click the x on it.
When you would use this
Building a pool: tag everyone who is certified for forklift work, then message them all when a warehouse order lands.
Training: tag new starters in-training and remove the tag when they are ready.
Client fit: tag the Crew Members who know a client's site, so you can fill last-minute gaps fast.
That's a tag added. Read on to use tags to find people and keep your tag list tidy.

Use tags to find people
- Tags show on the Crew Members list, so you can spot them at a glance.
- When you send a message, use the Tag filter to pick everyone with a tag.
Keep your tag list tidy
Anyone can create a tag unless your admin has turned that off, so the list can fill up with near-duplicates like night-shift and nights. Agree on a few rules: lower case, one word or joined with dashes.
Your admin can see, edit and delete tags in Settings › Code Tables › Tags. Each tag belongs to one type of record, such as Crew Member, Client or Job.
