Overview

The Calendar View in NextCrew provides a visual workflow to manage staffing with three tabs—Order, Jobs, and Crew Member—enabling color-coded scheduling and drag-and-drop control. This view streamlines team assignments and makes it easy to spot scheduling gaps and coverage status at a glance.





Navigation

  • Log in to NextCrew and select Workspace, then go to Calendar View.

  • Choose between Order, Jobs, or Crew Member tabs for targeted scheduling insights.

  • Access the Filter Icon at the top left of the calendar to open advanced filter options for any tab, including Crew Member assignment.


Key Features

  • Visual Scheduling: See orders, jobs, and assignments plotted on a weekly color-coded calendar.

    • Green: Filled jobs/orders

    • Orange: Open jobs/orders

    • Blue: Partially filled status

  • Crew Member Tab:

    • Vertical list of crew members displayed on the right—shows who is working when and where.

    • Weekly calendar structure for fast overview.

  • Dynamic Assignment:

    • Unassigned (open) jobs are positioned at the top.

    • Easily drag-and-drop jobs directly onto crew members; move jobs as needed for schedule changes.

  • Filter View:

    • Quickly filter by order, job status, date range, or crew member.

    • Add a crew member to the calendar view with the Filter Icon—even if they’re not assigned yet.

    • Ensures no staff is overlooked and schedules remain flexible.


Use Cases

Orders Tab – Visualizing Order Dates and Status

  • Use calendar filtering to show orders by week or project.

  • Instantly spot open (orange), filled (green), or partially filled (blue) orders.

Jobs Tab – Managing Job Fill Status

  • Filter jobs by open status or target job types for specific days.

  • Drag jobs from the open pool to specific days or people for rapid assignment.

Crew Member Tab – Assigning and Visualizing Crew Schedules

  • Use the filter icon to add unassigned crew members to the display.

  • Drag unassigned jobs from the top to specific crew member rows, assigning in real-time.

  • Move jobs between crew members to adjust for changes or optimize coverage.

  • Q: How do I add a crew member not currently assigned to any jobs?
    A: Click the Filter Icon on the top left, search and add the crew member; they will appear in the calendar for easy assignment.

  • Q: How does color coding work?
    A: Green means filled, orange is open, and blue is partially filled for jobs/orders.
