Overview
In most staffing software, you’ll typically find two levels: Jobs and Assignments (Offers). NextCrew takes staffing a step further with a third level: Orders. This unique structure allows you to group multiple jobs together under one unified request from a client. It’s especially useful for managing complex events or staffing requests that require different roles, shifts, or specialties but are tied to the same overarching need.

From an Order, you can view all related Jobs and their Assignments in one place.

Use Case: Staffing a Conference
Scenario: A client requests staffing for a large conference.
Steps:

AV technicians for the afternoon.
Supervisors for the entire day.
Assign Crew to each job by sending offers and confirming assignments.
View the full conference staffing in one place through the order—seeing everyone working, their roles, and schedules.
FAQ
Q: Why not just use jobs and assignments like other software?
A: Orders let you group all related jobs under a single client request, making it easier to organize and track large or multi-role projects.
Q: Can one order have multiple jobs with different roles?
A: Yes. An order can combine any number of jobs, each with different positions, times, and requirements.
Q: Do I have to use orders for every request?
A: No. But using orders is highly recommended for complex or multi-shift staffing needs.
Pro-Tip
Use the Order view as your master project sheet—it acts as your single source of truth for large client events or shifts. Instead of juggling separate jobs, you’ll see the entire project tied to the original request.
