Set Up Your CRM Lists

Modified on Sun, 27 Sep at 12:52 AM

Your sales team tracks leads their own way. Set up the CRM lists to match, and every prospect report makes sense.

Summary

Five Code Tables shape the CRM. Lines of Business are the markets you serve. Lead Sources say where a lead came from. Lead Statuses are the steps from first contact to client. Follow Up Statuses say what's waiting on whom. Client Account Types group your clients, such as VIP or one-time.

How to do it

  1. Go to Settings › Code Tables.
  2. Open each CRM table in turn: Lines of Business, Lead Sources, Lead Statuses, Follow Up Statuses, Client Account Types.
  3. Add the values your team uses, with a short description of when to use each.
  4. Set Order so lead statuses appear in pipeline order.

That's the CRM set up. Your team can now use these lists on every client and prospect.

Write a description for every value

Two people will read Contacted and Interested differently. A one-line description, such as "Lead has shown interest in your service", keeps everyone using the same meaning.
