 Why Clock-In/Out Matters

Clocking in and out correctly helps:

  • Keep your work hours accurate

  • Prevent payroll delays

  • Keep timesheets updated

  • Help coordinators manage assignments smoothly

  • Maintain organized assignment records in one place

With NextCrew, everything stays connected and easy to manage directly from your phone.

 How to Clock In

Step 1

From the home screen, tap Clock-In/Out.

Step 2

Select your assignment and tap CLOCK-IN.

Step 3

Tap CLOCK-IN again to confirm.

Depending on your device permissions, the app may ask for access to:

  • Location Services

  • Camera

These verification steps help confirm that clock-ins are completed correctly on-site.

Once successful, your shift time is automatically recorded inside the app.

❖ Work Location Restriction

NextCrew uses work location verification during clock-in.

If you are too far from the job site:

  • ❌ Clock-in may not work

  • ⚠️ A Work Location Distance error may appear

To avoid issues:

  • Make sure Location Services are enabled

  • Be physically near the assignment location before clocking in

❖ Offline Clock-In Information

If your device does not have an active cellular data connection during clock-in, the app may switch to Offline Mode.

When this happens:
• Your clock-in is temporarily stored
• The app automatically syncs once the internet connection returns

To avoid offline issues:
• Make sure Cellular Data is turned ON
• Ensure the NextCrew app can use mobile data
• Check that internet access is active before clocking in

 How to Clock Out

Step 1

Open Clock-In/Out from the home screen.

Step 2

Tap CLOCK-OUT.

Step 3

Tap CLOCK-OUT again to confirm.

This helps make sure your total worked hours are captured correctly before timesheets are processed.

☕ How to Add Breaks

If your assignment requires break tracking:

Step 1

Tap the Break Icon.

Step 2

Open the Hours/Break Hours dropdown menu.

Step 3

Select the correct break duration:

  • ⏱️ 15 Minutes

  • ⏱️ 30 Minutes

  • ⏱️ 45 Minutes

  • ⏱️ 60 Minutes

Step 4

Tap ADD to save your break.

❖ Timesheets, Expenses & Attachments

If you have access to Timesheets, you can also manage additional assignment details directly inside the app.

To access Timesheets:

Go to:
Timesheets → Select Assignment

Inside the timesheet, you can review:

  • Worked Hours

  • Break Hours

  • Pay Information

  • Assignment Details

You may also be able to:

  • Upload receipts

  • Attach photos

  • Add reimbursement documents

  • Add expenses

Everything stays connected to the correct assignment for easier tracking later.

✅ Final Tips

To avoid payroll or scheduling issues:

  • Keep your clock-ins updated

  • Record breaks accurately

  • Make sure location services are enabled

  • Maintain an active cellular data connection when clocking in

  • Upload supporting documents when needed

Keeping everything updated inside NextCrew helps coordinators confirm assignments faster and keeps your records organized in one place.
