A conference needs check-in staff in the morning, AV technicians after lunch and supervisors all day. NextCrew keeps all of that together as one order.
Summary
An order is one request from a client, with the client and contact on it. Inside it are jobs, one for each position and time, each with a number of positions to fill. Each Crew Member you invite or book on a job has an offer. Change a job and it stays under the same order, so you always see the whole request in one place.
How to do it
- Go to Workspace › Orders.
- Use the tabs at the top to switch between Orders, Jobs and Offers.
- On the Orders list, Jobs Filled and Positions Filled show how close each order is to done.
- Open an order to see its jobs, and open a job to see its offers.
That's the structure. The example below shows it with real numbers.
An example
| Level | Example | What you track |
|---|---|---|
| Order | Annual Convention for Holiday Inn | The whole request: dates, client, contact |
| Job | Front desk, Friday evening, 6 positions | Positions filled, times, pay and bill rates |
| Offer | Ana, confirmed for the front desk job | Where that one person stands |
An order with 9 jobs and 35 positions shows 3/9 jobs filled and 20/35 positions filled when it is part-way there.
Why three levels?
- Clients think in requests, not single jobs. The order matches how they ask.
- Each job can have its own position, times and rates.
- Offers keep each person's status separate, so one cancellation doesn't touch anyone else.
Other ways people ask this
- What's the difference between an order and a job?
- What is an offer?
- What's an assignment?
- Where do I see all the jobs for one client request?
