1. Create and Activate Your Twilio Account
Visit the Twilio website and click Start for free.
Complete the sign-up process, including email and phone verification.
Add a payment method in the Twilio Console under Billing to enable SMS capabilities.
2. Register for A2P 10DLC Compliance (Required for U.S. SMS)
In the Twilio Console, navigate to the A2P 10DLC registration section.
Register your business (Brand): Provide your legal business name, address, tax ID (EIN), website, and a list of authorized representatives. Ensure all information is accurate to avoid delays or denial
Register your messaging campaign: Specify your intended use case (e.g., notifications, marketing), provide sample messages, and describe your opt-in/opt-out process for recipients
Submit your registration and await approval. This process may take from a few minutes up to 7 business days, depending on vetting requirements
Important: If you do not complete 10DLC registration, SMS sent to U.S. numbers will be blocked or undelivered
3. Purchase a Twilio Phone Number or Transfer your phone number
In the Twilio Console, go to Phone Numbers > Manage > Buy a Number.
Choose a number with SMS capability for your region.
Complete the purchase; the number will appear under your active phone numbers.
4. Gather Twilio Credentials
In your Twilio Console dashboard, locate your Account SID and Auth Token. You’ll need these for configuration in NextCrew.
5. Activate the Twilio SMS Module in NextCrew Marketplace
Log in to your NextCrew Marketplace admin portal.
Navigate to the Integrations or Marketplace Modules section.
Find the Twilio SMS module and click Activate.
6. Configure the Twilio Module
Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token in the module’s configuration settings.
Select the Twilio phone number you purchased to use for sending SMS messages.
Save your configuration.
7. Test the Integration
Use the test feature in the NextCrew Twilio module (if available) to send a sample SMS.
Verify that the message is received on your device.
Tips:
Ensure your Twilio account has sufficient balance or is upgraded from trial status to avoid SMS sending restrictions.
For compliance and deliverability, only send SMS to recipients who have opted in and always provide clear opt-out instructions in your messages

1. What does it mean by "Listen for Reply".
"Listen for reply" will bring the replies from Crew Members back into NextCrew under their profile.
2. Who do I pay the invoice to for SMS
You have to pay directly to Twilio.
3. What if I have multiple SMS Numbers?
Currently we support only one number.
4. Once the campaign is activated , do I need to do anything to send SMS?
No - Once it is activate NextCrew will start sending messages from the system.
