How Omni-channel Works in NextCrew  


NextCrew's communication module offers three primary ways to send messages, each designed to meet specific needs:


1. Email 


Emails in NextCrew are sent on behalf of the user, meaning the sender's email address is used as the "from" address. This setup ensures professional correspondence. If a crew member replies to the email, the response goes directly to the user's inbox for continuity.


To guarantee trusted and secure email delivery, users must authenticate their domain through Twilio/SendGrid. This step minimizes the risk of emails being marked as spam.

1. Which email is being used for automated communication

For all automated communication such as expiring licenses or job reminders or confirmation we use the email specified in the company configuration.


2. Push Notifications  


Push Notifications allow users to send short, immediate updates directly to crew members’ mobile devices through the NextCrew mobile app. When crafting a message, you can choose to enable a push notification to ensure the crew member receives the alert promptly.


Keep in mind that iOS and Android devices impose character limits on push notifications. Tailoring messages to fit within these constraints ensures your notifications are delivered effectively.


3. Text Messages  

Text messaging is another robust feature of the Omni-channel module. Users can send messages directly from their own phone numbers, which provides a personal touch and builds trust. 


To activate this capability, a Twilio account is required. Twilio integrates seamlessly with NextCrew as part of its marketplace.
