Geofencing is a location-based service in which an app or other software uses GPS, RFID, Wi-Fi or cellular data to trigger a pre-programmed action when a mobile device or RFID tag enters or exits a virtual boundary set up around a geographical location, known as a geofence.
Depending on how a geofence is configured it can prompt the Crew Member that they are too far away to allow for clocking in/out. NextCrew's default setting is within a one mile radius.
To enable Geo-Fencing navigate to SETTINGS then Permissions to slide indicator on
To Change Geo-Fencing by Client
1. Navigate to the internal details of the client then select the gear icon
2. Type in new increment in the GEO-Fencing field then select SAVE
3. Click UPDATE to save all changes
To Change Geo-Fencing by Job
1. Navigate to the Edit Job Detail page then select the gear icon
2. Type in new increment in the GEO-Fencing field then select SAVE
3. Select UPDATE to save and close
